Made in England, this richly detailed plate depicts a traditional English fox hunt unfolding across the countryside, with riders in scarlet coats, hounds in pursuit and a beautifully rendered pastoral landscape in soft shades of green, brown, black and red. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eProduced as part of Johnson Brothers’ Tally Ho series, dating to the mid-20th century, the pattern features a collection of different English sporting and hunting scenes. The gently scalloped edge and expansive 10⅝” size make this larger service plate particularly striking for display. There are a few small chips along the outer edge. Two are visible primarily from the reverse, while one is visible from the front edge but is relatively unobtrusive and blends somewhat with the coloration of the design.
