Soft blues, mossy greens, warm stone and deep woodland tones give the painting the quiet, romantic character associated with Victorian English landscape painting.

The architectural mill, working waterwheel and small solitary figure create wonderful depth and narrative within the composition. It is particularly lovely for an English country, traditional, equestrian-inspired or collected interior.

Presented in an ornate giltwood frame with scrolling foliate and floral decoration.
