Rare Italian Palio di Siena Porcupine Pottery plate! Created to celebrate the annual bareback horse race that takes place twice a year in Siena. The porcupine represents one of the local coat of arms which the jockeys wear!  This rare and hard to find plate has such fun history and is a whimsical conversation starter! Signed on back and can be hung. Measures 6 1/4” in diameter. Excellent condition!
