This is a SPECTACULAR large hand painted Italian Majolica lemon and orange topiary resting in a reticulated white fluted basket. This is mid-century and hand painted in the majolica style from Italy. This would look amazing on a console, shelf or table-scape to add color and interest. This sort of art pottery is indicative of the playfulness and tradition of mid-century Italian ceramics. They look fantastic for all seasons! The lemons are hand molded and well-made and very solid. It is in great vintage condition, has a few hair line cracks that are normal with age, possibly a few flea bite on leaves or slight paint loss, but mostly excellent condition. The topiary is nearly 18 inches high and about 12 inches wide. This is a rare , large size centerpiece that is absolutely stunning.
