A beautiful antique English creamware plate featuring an intricately moulded basket-weave design surrounded by a delicate pierced border and softly scalloped edge. The concentric woven texture radiates from a small central motif, giving the plate wonderful dimension while the openwork rim creates an almost lace-like effect. Pierced and moulded creamware became an important part of English ceramic production, with celebrated examples produced by Wedgwood, Leeds and other Staffordshire and Yorkshire potteries. This example bears several indistinct impressed marks to the underside, but no legible manufacturer’s mark, so its exact maker remains unidentified. Based on its form, body and construction, it dates to the 19th century, likely the first half. The plate measures approximately 7¼ inches in diameter. It is in very good antique condition, with no chips or cracks. There are a few tiny areas of glaze loss along the edge and one small area of glaze loss within the moulded basket-weave decoration, along with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. These small imperfections do not detract from the overall appearance and are only noted for accuracy.

We have a 7-day return policy on NEW items, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. You will be refunded in store credit to be spent at Shoplilliangrey.com within 6 months.
Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

That item is now yours, we can only refund you in store credit for Shoplilliangrey.com if the item was damaged in the shipping process. (Some items have endured some alterations to their original state and will be sold AS IS. Please take note of each item's description to see if the unique character is suitable to you.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.
