This impressive perfume bottle is a superb example of the refined vanity wares of the late Victorian Art Nouveau period. Crafted from heavy, high-quality cut crystal, the bottle features a beautifully proportioned, rounded body adorned with elegant faceting and a classic pattern that captures and reflects light from every angle. The underside is finished with a striking starburst-cut base. The neck is encased in solid sterling silver, forming a protective lip over the inner neck and supporting the original hinged flip-top lid. The sterling silver repoussé cap is richly decorated, showcasing a central female face surrounded by flowing scrolls and stylized floral foliage—hallmarks of the Art Nouveau aesthetic. The bottle retains its original hand-ground crystal stopper, custom-fitted to the neck. The silver is marked with English hallmarks, including lion passant for sterling silver, anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter b for 1901. The maker’s mark appears to read “J.S.,” though it is partially worn and difficult to definitively attribute.
It's in excellent antique condition overall. The crystal bottle shows no chips or cracks and remains beautifully bright, with only a small amount of clouding at the base consistent with historical perfume residue. The original crystal stopper has a small chip at the top. The sterling silver hinged lid is in excellent working order with light wear commensurate with age. Hallmarks remain legible, with some fading to the maker’s mark. A striking and collectible Victorian Art Nouveau perfume bottle, perfect for display, a curated vanity, or a serious collection of fine antique crystal and sterling silver vanity objects.

We have a 7-day return policy on NEW items, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. You will be refunded in store credit to be spent at Shoplilliangrey.com within 6 months.
Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
This includes Vintage and Antique items. Each item has its own unique story, if you are not happy with the item then we hope we can continue your story with our company and find something that suits you better. That item is now yours, we can only refund you in store credit for Shoplilliangrey.com if the item was damaged in the shipping process. (Some items have endured some alterations to their original state and will be sold AS IS. Please take note of each item's description to see if the unique character is suitable to you.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.
