Vintage English Silver Plate Biscuit Barrel / Ice Bucket with Lion Mask Handles & Monogram G, c. 1930–1950 – 8”H

A handsome vintage English silver-plated biscuit barrel or ice bucket with wonderfully architectural detailing.

The cylindrical body is wrapped in a finely pierced metal mesh and fitted with a removable white liner, topped by a domed silver-plated lid with ball finial. Each side is mounted with a sculptural lion-mask ring handle, while the front features a shield-shaped cartouche engraved with an elegant script “G.”

Raised on three polished ball feet, the piece has a strong Georgian Revival character typical of English barware and serving pieces from the mid-20th century.

Originally intended as a biscuit barrel or small ice bucket, it remains wonderfully functional today for ice, bar accessories, wrapped candies, or simply as a decorative silver accent.
