A striking pair of antique English ironstone plates by Ashworth Brothers, decorated in the richly layered Pattern 143 with a classic Chinoiserie landscape.
Each plate features an intricate pagoda and waterside scene surrounded by stylized trees, boats, distant mountains, and architectural details. The palette combines warm iron-red and orange tones with deep cobalt blue, soft lavender, buff, and gilt accents, all framed by an elaborate scalloped border. The result has the bold color and decorative presence associated with early English Imari wares.
The reverse bears the crowned “REAL IRON-STONE CHINA” backstamp along with the hand-painted pattern number 143. This pattern originated within the Mason’s design tradition and was later produced by Ashworth, making these wonderful examples of the continuation of important nineteenth-century English ironstone designs.
Beautiful displayed as a pair on a plate wall, layered into a cabinet collection, or used as substantial decorative accents within a traditional English-inspired interior.

We have a 7-day return policy on NEW items, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. You will be refunded in store credit to be spent at Shoplilliangrey.com within 6 months.
Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

Each item has its own unique story, if you are not happy with the item then we hope we can continue your story with our company and find something that suits you better. That item is now yours, we can only refund you in store credit for Shoplilliangrey.com if the item was damaged in the shipping process. (Some items have endured some alterations to their original state and will be sold AS IS. Please take note of each item's description to see if the unique character is suitable to you.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.Â
