A wonderful matched set of five early 19th-century Spode Stone China dinner plates, dating to the English Regency period, approximately c.1815–1825.
Each 9.5” plate is richly decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with an intricate Chinoiserie-inspired floral and botanical design, accented with delicate hand-applied gilt details. The central floral medallion is surrounded by scrolling blossoms and stylized Asian-inspired border elements, creating the beautifully layered blue, white, and gold appearance associated with Spode’s early Stone China wares.
Spode developed its dense Stone China body around 1813, responding to the popularity of Chinese porcelain and early English ironstone. The blue printed SPODE / Stone-China backstamp seen on these plates is characteristic of this early period. Similar 9.5” Spode Stone China dinner wares from the period are documented with blue transfer decoration and gilt enrichment.

- Condition: Very good antique condition for pieces approximately 200 years old. Four plates have no noted chips or cracks. One plate has a small rounded chip to the underside/back rim, which is not prominent when displayed from the front. Expected light surface and gilt wear consistent with age and use.
An especially beautiful early Spode set for a blue-and-white collection, traditional tablescape, cabinet display, or plate wall.

We have a 7-day return policy on NEW items, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. You will be refunded in store credit to be spent at Shoplilliangrey.com within 6 months.
Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Each item has its own unique story, if you are not happy with the item then we hope we can continue your story with our company and find something that suits you better. That item is now yours, we can only refund you in store credit for Shoplilliangrey.com if the item was damaged in the shipping process. (Some items have endured some alterations to their original state and will be sold AS IS. Please take note of each item's description to see if the unique character is suitable to you.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.
