A beautiful early 19th-century Wedgwood smear-glazed stoneware teacup featuring lavender-blue sprigged grapevine decoration against a soft cream-colored ground. Elegant in both form and decoration, this piece exemplifies the understated refinement that made Wedgwood’s decorative stonewares so admired during the early decades of the 19th century. Impressed with the WEDGWOOD mark on the underside, this teacup comes from the collection of a prominent longtime Wedgwood collector. Similar examples have been attributed to circa 1820, and the form, decoration, and construction are consistent with Wedgwood’s highly regarded early smear-glazed stonewares. The finely modeled grapevine sprigging wraps gracefully around the exterior, creating wonderful texture and visual interest. The combination of the cream-colored ground and lavender-blue relief decoration gives the piece a timeless elegance that displays beautifully on its own or alongside other early Wedgwood forms. This piece comes from the collection of a prominent longtime Wedgwood collector and is representative of Wedgwood’s highly collectible early 19th-century smear-glazed stonewares. Characterized by their soft cream-colored grounds and finely modeled relief decoration, these wares showcase the artistry and innovation that helped establish Wedgwood as one of England’s most celebrated potteries. We have a 7-day return policy on NEW items, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. You will be refunded in store credit to be spent at Shoplilliangrey.com within 6 months.
Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items

Each item has its own unique story, if you are not happy with the item then we hope we can continue your story with our company and find something that suits you better. That item is now yours, we can only refund you in store credit for Shoplilliangrey.com if the item was damaged in the shipping process. (Some items have endured some alterations to their original state and will be sold AS IS. Please take note of each item's description to see if the unique character is suitable to you.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.
