A wonderfully whimsical vintage jewelry casket designed in the form of a miniature carriage, richly detailed in ornate gilt metal and warm amber glass.

The casket features amber bubble-style glass panels, intricate filigree metalwork, decorative floral wheels, and a scrolling carriage handle. The hinged oval glass lid opens to reveal a beautifully preserved interior with its original cushioned lining.

Its diminutive scale and wonderfully decorative construction give it all the charm of mid-century Hollywood Regency vanity accessories. Pieces like this were intended for rings, small jewelry, trinkets, or keepsakes and were designed to be displayed prominently on a dressing table or vanity.
