A charming piece of 19th-century French theatrical history, this antique hand-colored lithograph depicts Pauline Virginie Déjazet (1798–1875), the celebrated Parisian comedic actress known for her wit, spirited performances, and remarkable stage career. Beginning as a child performer, Déjazet became one of the familiar faces of Parisian theatre and, in 1859, took over the theatre that would bear her name, the Théâtre Déjazet.
Beautifully presented within an ebony-toned frame, the delicately colored portrait is surrounded by an oval gilt slip and finished with a decorative brass-toned hanging clasp featuring grapes and foliage. The presentation has the wonderful character of a 19th-century Grand Tour souvenir, combining French theatrical history with the charm of a personal keepsake. A delightful addition to a gallery wall, library, or collection of antique French prints.

Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Within 10 days of delivery - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in store credit once approved.
