A finely crafted antique English tea caddy crafted with bird’s eye maple and a striking bone and mother-of-pearl inlay throughout. The lid is centered with an elegant “TEA” cartouche, framed by intricate geometric and foliate inlaid banding—hallmarks of early 19th-century craftsmanship.
The interior opens to reveal two original compartments, once used to store separate tea varieties, and retains its original foil lining, a wonderful period detail. The warm patina, gentle wear, and time-softened finish reflect its age and authenticity, enhancing its character rather than detracting from it.
A timeless decorative accent for a bookshelf, bar cart, or sideboard, or a beautiful vessel for storing letters, jewelry, or small keepsakes. A true heirloom piece that brings history, elegance, and quiet luxury to any collected interior.
