A wonderfully English piece with all the charm of the hunt. This antique Dudson cheese dome is decorated in soft blue with crisp white applied relief depicting a continuous fox hunting sceneโhorses, riders, hounds and countryside detailsโframed by delicate trailing foliage. The coordinating underplate carries the same beautiful white relief around its border.
Founded in 1800 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Dudson was part of one of Englandโs great pottery-making traditions. The firm became particularly known for its stonewares and blue-and-white sprigged wares, producing its own versions of Jasper Ware with crisp white relief decoration against colored grounds. Period trade literature described Jasper Ware as a Dudson specialty and specifically included cheese stands and covers among the forms producedโa wonderful bit of history for this remarkably preserved Victorian example.

Vintage and antique items cannot be refunded or returned unless it has been damaged in the shipping process. We require photos of the item(s) and packaging, (which will help us to assess the handling process and prevent further losses.) After which point you will be issued a full refund on your order.

If your return is accepted, weโll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Within 10 days of deliveryย - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. You have 7 days from the delivery date to initiate your return on NEW items only.
